It is with heartfelt sorrow we leave this message. We knew Val as neighbors a number of years ago, and would run into him now and then. He was one of the kindest, warmest and most thoughtful people we have had the good fortune to know and call friend. He always greeted us with a warm smile and hug. You truly felt fortunate to have seen him. I'm sure he will be just as warmly welcomed into heaven. It's our hope that his family and friends will be comforted by knowing that.
