COL (Ret ) Warren J. Reiter, age 96, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2016 in
Colorado Springs at Pikes Peak Hospice. He was born on January 4, 1920 in Chippewa
Falls, WI, the son of the late William and Dorothy Reiter.

Warren graduated from McDonald High School in 1938. He enlisted in the Wisconsin
Army National Guard 32nd Division in 1937. He served in WWII from 1940-1945 in the
Campaigns of New Guinea, the Phillipines and the Occupation of Japan. After the war, he
served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard retiring in 1972 after 35 years of service to
his country. He was awarded the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, Army Commendation,
and numerous other Campaign and Service Medals.

Warren married Phyllis Globensky in 1946 in Chippewa Falls. They moved to
Milwaukee,WI in 1953 where he worked for the W.H. Brady CO. as an International
Sales Manager for 30 years.. He retired in1982 and moved to Colorado Springs.
He was a Past Commander of VFW Post 4051 and a Past VFW District Commamder.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis. He is survived by his four children; MSG
(Ret) John Reiter of Colorado Springs, Jane Johnson (Robert) of Colorado Springs, COL
(Ret) Joseph Reiter (Corrine) of Hubertus, WI, Jerry Reiter (Joyce) of Colorado Springs,
five grandchildren; Carrie Schubring (Jay), Allison Koehler ( Jason Toth), Christopher
Johnson, Kyle Reiter, Kevin Reiter (Erin) and one great grandchild Lucas Toth.

Warren was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was dearly loved by all his
family and friends. He was a respected military leader who served proudly and selflessly.
