Obituary for Geneva Juantia Germann (Hall)
Geneva Juanita Germann, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, May 22, 2016. She was living in Colorado Springs, Colorado with her daughter, Judith Watson and her son-in-law, Dennis Watson for the past two years. She is formerly from Atlanta, Michigan and South Bend, Indiana.
Mrs. Germann worked for A&P Food Stores and was a domestic engineer. She attended church regularly and sang in the choir. They will miss her baked goods.
She married Harold Germann in Alton, Illinois on January 25, 1947. Harold died in November 1989. She is also preceded in death by mother Eva Guinn; her husband Ralph Guinn; her father Arvel Hall; two sisters Polly Swigart and Louise Boatman; a daughter Janice Griggs; and a son Dennis Germann.
She is survived by one sister Betty Sapp of South Bend, five grandchildren Tabitha Ginzel, Troy Watson, Travis Watson and significant other Sarah Rivera, Brian Germann, and Jessica. She also had eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She had two special nieces Paula Laskowski and Dee Dee Smith. Juanita will be missed by her many great friends that were very special and helped her celebrate her life. Her friends George and Elaine, Jane and Bob, Betty Johnson, and Edna were very close to her and supported her in many ways. She loved them all.
Services will be held Monday, June 6, 2016 at Hahn Funeral Home in Mishawaka, Indiana. She will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in South Bend, Indiana next to her loving husband, Harold, of 43 years, her daughter Janice and son Dennis.
