James Miner, 77 of Colorado Springs passed away April 24, 2019. He was born May 26 th 1941 in Traer,
Iowa to Bob and Lois Miner who preceded him in death. He graduated from Superior high school in
Superior Iowa in 1959. He served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1964. Following that he went to
Estherville Junior College. April 8 th , 1968 he married the love of his life, Judy (Hansen) Miner. They
shared 51 years together, as business owners in both Iowa and Colorado Springs, he enjoyed NASCAR
racing, walleye fishing at Leech Lake, his family, and pets. He is survived by his wife Judy, his children,
Kevin (Marcia) Day, Tony Miner, Kelly (Michelle), Day, Kari (Clay) Willhite, as well as 6 Grandchildren, 1
Great Grandchild, he is also survived by his two sisters, Joan Miner, Julie Miner Nelson, and brother
Jerry. He is also survived by his fur-babies Pooh and Gracie.

Graveside services will be Tuesday April 30th at 11:00 AM at Crystal Valley Cemetery, Manitou Springs
and reception will follow after.
