Obituary for Kelly Robinson

Kelly G. Robinson, a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away March 29, 2019. Kelly was born November 22, 1968 to Kenneth and Susie Robinson.

He grew up on the west side of Colorado Springs, and graduated from Coronado High School in 1987. Kelly married Amber Harget in 1994 and they raised two sons, Chandler and Cody. In the first part of his career, Kelly worked for the City of Colorado Springs in the Parks and Recreation department in various roles. He then moved on to Colorado Springs Utilities and became a pipefitter for the gas department.

Kelly was an avid race fan, and motorsports enthusiast. Over the years he traveled coast to coast, attending a variety of racing events and collected race memorabilia. Kelly's free time was spent riding dirt bikes in the foothills, motocross racing, camping, and watching the boys play sports from youth all the way through high school. He volunteered as a baseball coach when the boys were little and he also volunteered his time as a board member of Pleasant Valley Swim Club. His pride and joy was his 1973 Ford Mustang, and was a die hard Denver Broncos fan.

He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth "Buddy" Robinson and his grandparents, Homer and Gertrude Blackwell.

Kelly is survived by his sons, Chandler and Cody, parents, Les and Susie Wagner, brothers, Branden Robinson and Christopher Wagner, former spouse and mother of his children, Amber Robinson, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside service, 1:00PM, Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Evergreen Cemetery,1005 South Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80903.
