Obituary for George Albert Cousineau
George Albert Cousineau born August 16, 1942 was not just a “jack of all trades” but truly a master of every single one of them.
On February 27, 2019 he received a call, a sort of offer one can’t refuse, an appointment from which he will not be returning. This appointment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time.
An accomplished pilot, scuba diver, racecar driver, and skier who traveled the world and didn’t have much of a bucket list left.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Peg York and Janice Kelly, brother Bob Cousineau and his beloved son Nicholas.
His is survived by his wife Chris, his sister Phyllis Jacobs and daughters Kimberly Butler and Christina Cousineau. As a loving husband, father, uncle, brother, and friend, he made a difference in the lives of many. His greatest accomplishment in life, however, is an enduring relationship with his wife Chris, capturing his heart so long ago, this little hippie chick from Manitou married him and together raised their beloved son, Nicholas.
A memorial mass is being held at the family residence in Rock Creek Canyon on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 11:00am. The service will be outside.
Instead of flowers he would hope you would do an unexpected act of kindness for someone else and not necessarily in his name.
Expect to share stories and life experiences with all present and to be greeted by George’s enthusiastic constant companion, Harry the dog.
