Obituary for Marjean Lindsay von Engeln

Born March 10,1926 in Piedmont, Missouri to Lev R. and Marjorie C. Lindsay.

Marjean grew up in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and attended Southeast Missouri State College.

She married Robert D. von Engeln on August 29, 1944 and happily traveled with him during his different assignment stations during WWII and was learning to become a pilot to surprise him. Marjean was a very accomplished artist in watercolor, oil and pastel. She was very humble regarding her talent.

She served on the grand jury that was responsible for the preservation of the El Paso County Court House that is now home of the Pioneer Museum.

She was a wonderful wife, a great mother and had many good friends but most of all enjoyed being with her husband, family and pets.

She was preceded in death by son Christopher von Engeln, husband Robert D. von Engeln,
granddaughter Sarah L. Schillereff, daughter Theresa von Engeln.

She is survived by son Mark (Robin) von Engeln, daughter Lise (Tim) Leigh, son Edi von Engeln, granddaughters Lauren von Engeln, Shannon (Alex) Constantinides, Holly (R.D.) Trinidad and Rachael von Engeln, great-granddaughters Maria and June'Trinidad and sister Emily Bone.

Donations on her behalf may be made to Abode Hospice or charity of choice. The family
would like to thank the 5th floor staff at Brookdale and Abode Hospice for their great care.
