Condolence From: Gary Robbins
Condolence: I just found the obituary for Joe. I was so shocked and saddened to see that Joe was gone. We met in the President’s leadership class our first semester at CU. And that is one thing Joe was... a leader. We later roomed together in an apartment and Joe helped me get into Kappa Sigma fraternity and was my Pledge Dad. He was always helping others. We graduated together with degrees in Transportation Management. Joe got the job we all wanted with the big hospital supply ompany. He had great communication and sales skills. He also had an amazing zest for life back then. He stood up with me at my wedding in 1982. We lost touch after that, but I thought of him everytime I used his secret Teryaki sauce to merinate steaks or chicken: equal parts of Kikkoman Soy Sauce and sugar. I never found a better recipe. He loved his mother so much and I had the priviledge to meet with Mary a few times. I saw where he got his great personality and sense of humor. And did he ever have a sense of humor. He made me laugh so many times and he could always pick me up when I was down. I am so sorry for your loss. He is truly a loss for me. With Love, Gary Robbins
