Obituary for William J "Wally" Wallace

William J "Wally"  Wallace
William J. Wallace “Wally” passed to his Heavenly Home February 14, 2018. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico September 21, 1930 to William Wallace and Belle Wooten Ware, both deceased.

“Wally” retired as a Lt. Colonel from the Air Force. He was a celestial navigator on various refueling planes and was on the faculty in the Life Science Department at the Air Force Academy for six years. Upon retirement he was a realtor in the local area.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Martha and their four children, William Thomas Wallace (Angie), Carolyn Hull (Terry “Bear”), Cathy Wallace-Berndt (Reed), and Harry Wallace (Cindy), seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

To celebrate his life a memorial service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, February 22nd at First Southern Baptist Church, 1409 Palmer Park Blvd. A reception will follow.

Wally was a life time Sertoma member, Gideon member, active in his church serving as a deacon for many years and volunteered at the Colorado Springs Senior Center, which introduced him to art painting and computers.
