Sandi Ricci passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 29. She will be forever remembered as a kind and loving soul by all those whose lives she touched. Deeply missed by her husband and best friend Jay, sons Gary (Jenny) and Chris, step-daughter LaTisha Loyd, grandchildren Sebastian, Megan and Kyra, sister Janice Martino (Frankie), Carlsbad, New Mexico, brother Larry Grinstead (Dorothy), Pueblo, CO. brothers Everett and Keith Loyd, Pueblo, CO and sister Tina Loyd, Tennessee, as well as several nieces and nephews She was a devoted wife, mom, grandma, sister and auntie and if she was your friend, you could always count on her. Preceeded in death by her dad Lawrence, her mom Borgny and older sister Judy, she was a Colorado Springs resident since 1980 and loved living on the West Side. Before developing serious health issues, Sandi loved arts and crafts, gardening, working in her yard and making numerous trips to Cripple Creek. Mostly, she loved her family and her “Grandma-house,” as she called it. It was always filled with good times and good food, especially during holidays and birthday parties. Numerous family vacations always involved the kids and grandkids. Also, missing his “Mama” will be her dog “Lil’ Rascal” who was with her at the end. Special thanks to nurses Vicki and Raquel with Compassus Hospice, who also became her friends and provided wonderful care and companionship over the past year.
