Paul Lee Amick Jr., 73, a Colorado Springs resident for the past 11 years, passed away August 31, 2017 at his home after a battle with cancer. Paul was born on July 28, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the son of Paul Sr. and Naomi Amick. He was a graduate of Baltimore Poly Technical Institute. Also, a graduate of the Baltimore Police Academy, Paul earned a bronze star for entering a burning house to save a family. Later in life, Paul was a Supervisor of Environmental Services at Harford Memorial Hospital in Maryland. Paul loved watching baseball, football and spending time with his wife and family.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul Lee Amick Sr and mother, Naomi Margaret Amick. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 53 years, Sheila Amick, son and daughter- in-law, David and Lisa Amick; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Tammi Amick, daughter and son-in-law, Tracey and David Cannella, 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 1 sister, and 3 brothers.
There will be a Memorial Service celebrating Paul’s life on Monday, September 4, 2017, at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
