Kelly E. Rains went to join his father in heaven on January 6th. Kelly was born on March 6, 1962 in Rifle, Colorado to Jim and Joyce Rains. He graduated from Coronado High School in 1980. He attended college at CSU where he completed a degree in Fishery Biology. Kelly worked for Colorado Fish and Game for awhile and was a life long cowboy and horseshoer. He was an avid outdoorsman. You could always find him in the woods fishing, hunting, trapping or training horses.

Kelly is survived by his daughter, Sarah (Bloom) Slusher, his mother, Joyce Rains and sister Sherilyn Stultz; grandsons Landon and Tristan Slusher; nephew Justin Kolm and nieces Kalyn Osborn and Shea Zupan. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Rains.

A Memorial Service will be held on January 28th at 1:00 PM at the Community of Christ Church, 2502 Palmer Park Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909. A reception will follow at the church.
