Hildegard Gisela Yon, age 78, a longtime Colorado Springs resident, passed away July 29, 2011 in Aurora, Colorado. She was born December 17, 1932 in Katscher, Germany to the late Max and Berta (Klose) Domes.

Hildegard loved her family and friends, first and foremost. She led a simple life with simple pleasures and devoted most of her cares and life to her family. Even in her pastimes such as Needlework, in every mend and stitch, she endeavored to share the fabric of her kindness clothed with the warmth of her heart for all her loved ones. She held a warm embrace and an endearing hug above all other commendations and honors and in her arms the teeming essence of comfort and serenity of spirit abounded. She will truly be missed by all who met her.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Monika (Jim Arrington) Rifenburgh, Jane (Greg) Brink and Diann (Najib Latif) Mallo; 3 sons, Edwin Yon Jr., Jack Yon and Keith (Renee) Yon; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and many extended family and friends too numerous to mention. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edwin.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
