Obituary for Marguerite Louise BARNETT
It is with great sorrow that the family of Marguerite Louise Barnett announces her passing from their unready arms on Sunday May 20th, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Margi was born on June 17, 1936 in Denver, Colorado.
The principled matriarch set a steady foundation and guidelines for those which survived her. Margi will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Mary E. Mullen, her three grandchildren Nathan J. Mullen, Sarah L. Resler, Andrea M. Mullen-Holcomb and her five great grandchildren, Tulia, Marc, Leonidas, Lucas Resler and Bradley Holcomb. She was preceded in passing by her parents George and Esther Williams as well as her husband Robert Lee Barnett.
Marguerite dedicated more then 30 years working for AT&T as a hard working secretary. During her time in this world she experienced many of the great highs and lows of mankind that made her the strong woman that she was always known for, yet she continued to be the backbone of her family.
A crypt-side funeral service in memory of Margi will be held on May 25th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Shrine of Remembrance 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO. This will be a time to remember and celebrate the life of this truly remarkable woman and the impact that she had on lives that she touched.
