Obituary for Elaine Pivec
Elaine Pivec, 68, a servant of Jesus, passed away on March 8 after a prolonged battle with cancer. Elaine was a beloved mother to her two sons, a cherished sister to her siblings, and a spiritual mentor and mother to many. She opened her home to many over the years in loving service to her Lord Jesus. Survived by her sons, Aron and Adam (Holly) and two precious granddaughters, her sister, Katherine, by and by many beloved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Tom, and her brother, James.
Per her express wishes, the family will not be holding a funeral or memorial service. She will be interred next to her husband, Tom, in Colorado Springs.
Before she passed, Elaine requested that no flowers be sent to the family but, rather, that any person wishing to send flowers should buy himself or herself his or her favorite flower and enjoy the beauty of it in their own home to remember her.
Anyone wishing to give a memorial gift can send it to Boulder Street Church, 828 E Boulder St, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
Additionally, we--her family--would request that you send a photo of either Elaine or you with Elaine along with a short story or memory about her that we can share with all all who are mourning her loss. Please send your photos and stories to Katherine at kaghughson@gmail.com within the next two weeks if you would like to share a memory with us all. Also, please send your mailing address to Katherine if you would like to receive a copy of the memory book.
