Obituary for Russell Leroy "Russ" Gudridge

United States Air Force (Ret) SMsgt Russell (Russ) Gudridge., 80, went home to our heavenly Father on Monday November 30 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Russ was born 5 April 1935 in Morristown, Minn. He was the youngest of 5 children.
Russ is survived by his wife of 58 years, Fern Gudridge, his two sons, Tim Gudridge, David Gudridge (Nicole), three grandchildren, Jordan, Mason, and Alexa Gudridge: sibling Georgia Schrot. And his buddy Butch who would nap with him during the day.
He is preceded in death by his parent George and Jane Gudridge of Kilkenney, Minn., his brother William Gudridge, sisters Jane Rodosovich and Patricia Gudridge. And his many companions throughout his life Budders, Rocky, Misty, Sasha, Precious and Hilde.
He served our country for 20 years with assignments to Florida, Japan, Pentagon twice, Hawaii, and Colorado. His second career was banking, having worked for the Citadel Bank and Air Academy for over 32 years.
He will be greatly missed by all who worked, played, coached, prayed and loved him. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 from 4:00-8:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, December 10 2015 at 10:30, at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Reception will follow the service. A private burial will be on December 11 2015 at 1315, with full military honors at Ft Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
