Vera White, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on March 4, 2015 at the age of 87. Vera was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ed and Marie Caruthers.

Vera moved from Oklahoma to Colorado Springs 65 years ago. An ambitious and hard working provider, she worked as a waitress at Duncan's Cotton Club; as a seamstress at the US Air Force Academy and worked 28 years at Hewlett-Packard before retiring. After retirement, she enjoyed crocheting and her pets. Vera was a loving mother, sister, daughter and someone who always exceeded in whatever challenge came her way.

Vera is survived by her sons, Valdron, Harvey, and Toby as well as 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, brother and husband.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado.
